The story begins with three sisters—Karen, Daniela, and Stephanie—ages 6, 7, and 8, selling chocolates door-to-door in Barranquilla, Colombia. A neighbor, impressed but maxed out on chocolate, invited them to present their business at her MBA class, sparking their entrepreneurial journey.
That small presentation led them to give keynotes across Colombia and in over 25 countries. They spoke about entrepreneurship and education, realizing the need to transform education.
What started as a childhood venture evolved into Biz Nation, an online platform providing practical skills and digital tools to upskill and reskill Latinos. Focused on small business and workforce development, Biz Nation now serves over 100,000 students.
They lead Cartagena International School, known for its innovative approach in combining entrepreneurship, financial education, and tech skills in K-12 education.
The sisters launched Biz Fest, Colombia’s largest free entrepreneurship festival, where 14,000 youth gather in an arena with celebrities, artists, and entrepreneurs for opportunities, with more than 1,000 scholarships awarded.
They wrote their first book, Parents and Coaches, at ages 13, 14, and 15, and recently released Cómo Hacer Negocios sin Dinero, a no-filter guide to bootstrapping a business and the untold realities of entrepreneurship.
With over 1 million followers on social media, the Carvajalino sisters have created a community that extends to LinkedIn, where they are recognized as Top Voices.
